Desa IT 2009 Sarawak [#18]: Kek Lapis Dayang Salhah

We then reached the other side of the river.. we took a short walk from the jetty to the said place.. It is said that kek lapis yg diusahakan tu antara yg popular arr.. namenye Kek Lapis Dayang Salhah.. perniagaan tu dijalankan di rumahnya sendiri.. die convert beberape ruang kat umah die tu so org leh masuk..and pilih kek lapis yg nak lah.. what's interesting is that kek-kek lapis yg dijual tu sangatlah banyak..pelbagai aneka perisa dan warna.. mmg rambang matelah.. (*_*)..

Bagi mereka2 yg ber-bajet besar.. should be no problem la.. you can buy almost everything there is.. so to speak.. but, on the other hand, they also offer discounts and promotions such like buy 5 free 1.. or buy 3 free 1 for RM 10.. for example.. after we bought what we want.. we head back to the jetty.. naik sampan utk kembali ke seberang iaitu ke waterfront.. as the time nears.. its time for us to go home.. so.. we convene and wait for others lah.. after that..we waited for our bus to arrive..and then head on to the airport...

Desa IT 2009 Sarawak [#17]: Detour - Satok

After having spending the whole morning at the cultural village, we then head on to Bandar Kuching. Kuching is the capital state of Sarawak dan merupakan salah satu bandar terbesar di Sarawak lah.. selain dari Miri.. From the cultural village.. we reached the city centre.. perjalanan rase tak lame pun.. dekat je.. The bus drop us at Satok.. one of the area inside the city.. there kami berjalan2 window shopping lah.. katenye di situ nak cari2 souvenir ade.. mase kami ke sane tu they had this vendors or peniaga2 kecil.. dirikan kanvas besar.. and terletak atas jalan..dan jalan tu biasenye ditutup.. di kawasan tu gak ade pasar.. yang diorang2 ni adela sibuk cari ikan masin.. ade yg cari bende2 yg nak dibawa balik utk bagi sbg hadiah kpd keluarga atau rakan2 back home.. so.. we scattered around..

After that.. we then head on to the waterfront.. we took a local van, sort of a taxi lah.. remember that I had went there before?.. nevertheless.. its our next stop.. we then took a trip across the river on to the other side menaiki sampan.. not the sampan yg kecik tu.. yg ni aku leh katekan mcm bot.. tapi takdela sebesar bot.. we went to this one place where its popular for its kek lapis..

Desa IT 2009 Sarawak [#16]: Kampung Budaya Sarawak [Part 2]

For this next part…we’ll continue on our journey in the ‘village’.. the grand finale was that the organizers have a show for the tourists.. its some sort of a traditional dance.. I forgot what are the names of those dances.. I can hear when they announce it on the speakers.. but I can’t remember the name.. some of it I can’t identify what the organizers said.. anyways.. the show presents some of the tarian kaum bumiputra yg ade di Sarawak nih.. so.. same as before.. aku akan letak gamba je la…hehe.. (^_^)..

Desa IT 2009 Sarawak [#15]: Kampung Budaya Sarawak [Part 1]

[28 Mac 2009]

So..the next day.. kami ‘check-out’ dr hostel UNIMAS tu.. today kami akan pulang ke semenanjung and will be the last day in Sarawak.. but..because our flight is in the evening..so..we had the whole day to jalan2 sekitar Kuching lah..and our first stop that morning was ‘Kampung Budaya Sarawak’ or “Sarawak Cultural Village”.. Here is the place where you can see some of the kaum bumiputra Sarawak..cara hidup diorang.. pakaian.. rekabentuk rumah and so on lah.. dah name ‘culture’ kan.. so..kite tgk culture mereka lah.. Klu tak silap aku..kat tempat tu ade 5 kaum yg ditunjukkan; Iban, Penan, Bidayuh, Melanau ngan Orang-Ulu.. so..kami semua jalan2lah.. ade skali pertunjukkan tarian tradisional kaum Iban dan Orang-Ulu.. so..basically that’s it lah.. sbbkan gamba nye byk sgt.. nak cite pun.. aku tak catat dlm notepad aku.. so aku akan tunjukkan pd gamba jelah.. ni baru first part.. nti ade second part lak.. utk yg tu tempat nye still dlm vicinity taman tu... cumenye ade ‘show’ mase tu..so kite akan tgk ‘show’ tu nti.. hehe..

Desa IT 2009 Sarawak [#14]: Kembara UNIMAS

We then head on to bandar Kuching.. we left Kampung Muara Tebas hoping that maybe someday we will come back.. who knows.. Our destination was UNIMAS or Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.. just so you know.. adela ‘connection’ dgn org2 UNIMAS to be exact PRS arr.. same mcm UPG...so..tu yg melawat tu.. the campus is located just on the outskirts of Kuching.. ia merupakan salah satu IPTA yg ade kat Malaysia ni lah.. kirenye ni first time bagi aku jejak ke IPT nih.. we will be spending a night at their hostel.. bear in mind. .. bile sebut je IPTA.. segala2nya besar.. kebanyakan IPTA kat Malaysia ni kawasan die sangatlah besar.. so.. kawasan hostel die pun byk, besar dan byk bilik.. So.. we reached the compound around 11.30.. kami turunkan beg masing2 dr bas dan berkumpul … after hearing the briefing dr pihak UNIMAS. We head on to our units.. after that we had our lunch and hemat diri lah..

[27 Mac 2009]

It was quite bright that morning..the sun is high.. no sign of dark clouds hanging over the sky.. it’s a perfect Friday morning .. sort of.. Today will be our last day at Kampung Muara Tebas.. it has been almost a week and today.. we will depart and move on to our next destination.. we’re not going home yet.. but to go to another place la.. so.. yalah.. it’s the moment where usually akan ade yg menitiskan air mate.. nak berpisah dgn anak angkat.. suasana tu kadang2 mcm pilu sebentar.. its one part.. walaupun ni dah desa IT yg ke 2 dan program seumpamanya yg ke 6 kot.. perasaan tu still adelah.. cumenye kite yelah.. simpan dlm hati..

After packing our things.. we walk on to the dewan.. around 9.. ade jgk yg masih lum sampai.. so.. after a while.. we gathered.. and then klu tak silap aku ketua kampung yg bacekan doa utk slamat jalan.. agar selamat selamat sampai ke destinasi.. so.. after that sesi bergambarlah.. bergambar dgn ahli keluarga angkat.. sementare nak tunggu bas dtg.. bile bas dah sampai.. kami pun ucapkan selamat tinggal kepada penduduk Kg. Muara Tebas..

Desa IT 2009 Sarawak [#12]: Malam Kebudayaan

That night.. all of us convene at the main dewan.. that night.. there will be an event called ‘malam kebudayaan’ or cultural night.. sepanjang aku join program desa IT sblm ni pun.. biasenye mmg akan adelah malam kebudayaan nih.. it’s a one-night event where orang2 kampung akan berkumpul.. dan aka n ada persembahan2 kebudayaan lah.. tarian ke.. zapin ke.. menari ke.. and so onlah.. so.. we start off around 9 I think.. mula2 tu ade bacaan doa.. and then ucapan dari direktor program.. ucapan dr en. Omar sendiri.. dan ucapan dr ketua kampung.. (lupa name daa..).. and then ade persembahan dr pelajar2 mmu sendiri.. mendendangkan tarian zapin.. pastu ade tarian tradisional (pun lupa name tarian tu..) dipersembahkan oleh kaum ibu2 kampung lah… after that ade persembahan dr pelajar2 indonesia dan tarian hindu…
